A hackathon is a place where people turn ideas, food, and coffee into magic (a.k.a. code). People with different experiences and technical backgrounds work together in teams to code a solution to a specific problem. These solutions generally take the form of mobile apps, robots, and websites. More broadly defined, a hackathon is a multi-day event where people come together, ideate, and work intensively on ideas and products to change the world!
Everyone is welcome! This includes immigrant rights activists, allies, DACA recipients, and anyone interested in using their skills to protect and empower the immigrant community. Whether you’re building your first website, barely learning how to code, learning Photoshop, or hacking with an Oculus Rift, UndocuHacks welcomes you!
Admission is free for all hackers as long as you live in the United States. We will cover all costs - that includes food, lodging, and transportation.
Application period will close on August 5th, 2017. Apply today and please share this with others!

If you don't know nothing about coding or engineering, not to worry - learning is the objective! UndocuHacks will have workshops and pair teams with mentors in the tech industry to offer some guidance! You will never be alone in the process! :-)
