Press Release Inauguration Deported Veterans Support House “Juarez Bunker” April 22nd, 2017
On Saturday April 22nd 2017
Deported Veterans Support House Tijuana “The Bunker” with Founder Hector Barajas will visit Juarez, Chihuahua from April 19th – April 30th. Our intent is to help establish a Chapter in Juarez with the help of Jose Francisco Lopez; to help organize locally with Deported Veterans; and to establish relationships with Veterans , Activists , Veterans Service officers , VA Benefits & resources in El Paso, Tx & surrounding areas. We believe that organizing the veterans who want to participate locally can bring more attention to Deported Veterans in Juarez and our cause.
Since 1996, the United States Government has deported thousands of veterans who joined the United States Armed Forces and served proudly in wars such as Vietnam, Persian Gulf, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan in both combat and peacetime. They have been, and currently are being, deported to 25 plus countries around the world that they or their families immigrated from. These veterans all had legal residency status, Veterans Administration (VA) benefits, as well as strong ties to the United States through family members and their own lives and service.
Hector Barajas, who is currently Director of the Deported Veterans Support House in Tijuana, Mexico. “If President Trump really wants to honor veterans, he will also honor our service by stopping the deportation of loyal members of the military and people who risked their lives for this country, and repatriate those already deported.. President Trump can remedy this situation by issuing an executive order ending the practice of deporting veterans, something that has bipartisan support.”WHO: Deported Veterans Support House Tijuana “Bunker” , Deported Veterans, Veterans groups, Latinos, those who support our nation’s veterans, and the Veterans Action Coordinating Committee
